With the winter weather fading away, it’s time to celebrate spring and the season of renewal.  Always a favorite time of year for many, Spring is a special time for me.  The sight of the first crocuses on the bank near my driveway kick it off for me.  The buds on my pussy willow tree start forming, reminding me of my grandmother, and the time it was her tree, and how she let us cut some down and enjoy their soft furriness, which we so loved as children.   Next comes the daffodils that are scattered through the beds in the back yard, and the tulips soon to follow. The sound of the birds and the smell of the warm breeze, mmm, I love it all.  There will be work to do, with the yards greening, and remnants of winter to be picked up, but there is only a little bit of time to enjoy it, and so we should.

As the Easter holiday comes, bring some spring into your home, put some tulips on your table, buy your mom a corsage for church, or even break off a pussy willow branch.  Whatever you do, take a moment, enjoy the time of renewed energy and growth.  Celebrate Spring!   Have a  Blessed and Happy Easter!

It’s Spring at The Ivy Green!   Just in time for Easter we have bulb gardens, Easter lilies, pots of sunny daffodils, tulips, and sweetly scented hyacinth. We also have hydrangea, almost in full bloom, just in time for the weekend. Beautifully blooming azaleas, in 6″ pots, come in two shades of pink, choose either one or both for instant Spring color!  Pink lilies, small pots of mums, miniature roses and more will be waiting for you.
